Margaret Cruickshank Statue
Margaret Cruickshank was the first woman to be registered as a doctor in New Zealand. She gave tireless service to the community during the 1918 Spanish flu pandemic, eventually dying of pneumonia after contracting the disease. Her statue is on the grounds of Seddon Square on Queen Street, Waimate, New Zealand.
